Family

I may have to start paying my family royalties since I tend to use old photos of them. This picture is inspired by a photo I’ve always thought was fun. It is my sister in law and brother in law. Of course now, it would be considered child abuse to tie a small child to a bike without a helmet! I hope you don’t mind Scott and Karla :) The inside of the card reads:  “Enjoy the Ride”

Then there’s my mom. I’ve already put her in a jar as a fairy that you can see here. With that same photo I’ve made many things which you can see here. This particular photo sits in my living room in a little frame. Isn’t she just gorgeous!?!Here are a few other things done with family photos:  This is my grandmother.This is a great-great grandmother.My mom and dad. . .My sister. . .My brother. . .My husband and father in law. . .

Just so you know. None of the old photos of crazy old people are family. THAT might be crossing the line!

Let’s Get Personal

I am offering the service of making personalized cards, and so much more. Here’s a card of my brother that he’ll get in a few months. Here is  a grouping of some items made using the one photograph of my Mom.Here’s another set of personalized ideas.All of these items can be special ordered with the photo of your choice. I will either have you send me a high quality jpeg through email or get the original to me to scan. It will be returned to you in the exact same shape. I can’t believe I won!!!

I was so blessed yesterday to wake up and check my analytic page to see quite a jump in traffic to this little site. Then with further investigation I found that most were directed here from Miss Mustard Seed. It took a few seconds as it was 4:15 in the morning (I’ll tell why in a moment) but the thought popped in- “I WON!” I quickly scrambled to her site to find out it was true. I won a package from Periwinkle Pass of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint! Oh how I’ve wanted to try this stuff. And now I can. Woo Hoo!

Here’s what can be done by a master aka Miss Mustard Seed.

Now why I was up at 4:15. For those of you who’ve had a colonoscomy, I don’t need to say any more. I was having that procedure as well as an endoscope being done yesterday. I was up to finish off my cocktail of horrid stuff to finish the prep. Of course feeling ever so sorry for myself. This being also the week of my son’s graduation and open house at OUR house this weekend. Couldn’t have been worse timing but that’s another story. So why on this blog am I sharing this personal story? Well, to say that I just felt God loving on me with the blessing of this discovery of my winnings and such a huge jump in my blog activity. (I’m a newbie with few followers yet)

New Shop Inventory!

This Saturday is the grand opening of the new shop for Simply Bungalow. I took all this stuff and more there today in preparation. The store is looking amazing! If you are local to Lincoln, NE you DON”T want to miss this! They even might just have a special surprise for all you mom’s out there.The address for the new shop is 2295 S. 48th. It is the big white house on the corner of 48th and Normal. They will be open 10-6 on Saturday. Hope you can stop by!
