Studio Tour

Finally, I’m here to show you the new studio. I’ve been enjoying it so very much! Let’s take a look around the room. This shot shows were the work gets done. The buffet makes a great standing work station. I have my clunky tools in the cabinets below and all the drawers are filled up as well. Of course the postal box is packed full of supplies and tools right within my reach. The closet is packed full! The other side of the room has a wonderful old drawer set that holds so much stuff inside and on top! This little table is filled with all sorts of goodies.I love love love this dress form that I found at an auction for $1Another shot of the postal box. This corner holds all my cutters and printers.I have a thing for enamel ware!Behind the door is the perfect place for my stamps. I made this shelf myself! I was quite proud of that accomplishment.Muffin tins are great for organizing!Love these old pieces. I purchased the string at an antique shop. The ink holder and old gum rack came from Simply Bungalow. It’s the perfect size for my inks.I never dreamed I’d have a space like this. I used to have a desk in the corner of the unfinished part of the basement next to the washer and dryer. This is my retreat!

A New Addition

I have acquired yet another great item for my studio! When a local scrapbook shop closed it’s doors, I snagged a couple of paper racks they were selling. I love, love how it displays my colored papers.Another rack I’ve recently acquired is the great old retail display rack. I’m not sure what it held but it is perfect for my ink pads.

A 25 cent deal and some Victorian Cards

I’m linking up to Terrific Under Ten Tuesday with At Home With Kay. How about a Terrific 25 Cent Tuesday. (and yes, I know it’s Wednesday. But she has the link party open for a while.) This baby cost me just that. It’s a wooden crate that I think held cassette tapes. I had to pull out a few slots but it made the PERFECT storage for my ink pads.I also want to share a set of pretty Victorian cards with you. This paper was breathtaking! When I see these pastel , Victorian style images; I see loveliness and beauty.

For lack of attention a thousand forms of loveliness elude us every day.

Beautiful & Functional

Just a quick post today as I’m busy getting ready for the Market at Simply Bungalow. If you are local you DON’T want to miss this!I’ll be there showing my wares along with ideas for personalizing your own “vintage” or new photos.

I do want to show you my new favorite thing in my studio before I get back to work. I’ve collected enough vintage lace that it needed some organization. I’ve found the perfect way. It is both beautiful and functional!!I even recently came across an old string dispenser. It is towards the back left. It will take me quite a while to run through that much string!! Blessings!

The final “tour” post!

Wow! If you’ve stuck with me on this, I hope your not too tired to see the last bit. This may be the most cluttered corner of the room. I love my suitcases! They look so cool and are great storage. And yes, more enamelware for storage too.Looking up you’ll see this view. Here’s a peek inside the cabinet.I used to keep all my ribbon spools in there but then came up with this beautiful and functional way to keep ribbon. I love it!These shelves are clear plastic frames turned upside down to hold my clear stamps.Above that I have a stash of vintage finds that I plan to put little paper flowers in. I think I need to quit buying and start making!Above that are these muffin tins. I just used dowel sticks to hold them up.Here’s a peek at what’s inside one. Some of my paper roses waiting for stems.I think this may be my new thing to collect. I love using old fibers on cards. This is the back of my door.Above the door is where I display the magnets I’ve made.I do have one more corner that is my husband’s favorite spot to read.I even have stuffed stashed behind there. This room is my studio; my place to work; my place to play; my place to relax; my place to hide. This last photo shows you it is my haven! Thanks so much for letting me show you my space. I think I appreciate it so much more after posting all of this. Blessings!
